An establishment dedicated to wellbeing
Casa Serena is a nursing home for dependent elderly people, located in the heart of Propriano in southern Corsica. Since its inception, our medicalised retirement home has been committed to offering everyone a dignified, warm and safe living environment, with respect for their personal history, habits and pace of life.
Our establishment welcomes adults aged 60 and over who are losing their autonomy or experiencing physical or psychological dependency. We provide both permanent accommodation and temporary stays of up to 3 months, addressing a variety of situations: hospital discharge, respite for family caregivers, convalescence, transitional periods before permanent placement, or crisis management at home.
All 65 of our beds are approved for social assistance, meaning we welcome every eligible resident regardless of their financial means. Our primary mission is to guarantee quality care in a caring environment. Respect and listening are the cornerstones of our daily work.

Located just steps from the centre of Propriano, Casa Serena enjoys a privileged setting — quiet yet connected to local life. Our residents benefit from the proximity of shops, the marina, and the Mediterranean climate all year round.
The establishment covers 3,400 m² entirely dedicated to welcoming and caring for our residents. It includes 53 individual rooms and 6 double rooms, each with a balcony overlooking the outdoor spaces and a private bathroom. This commitment to space and intimacy allows every resident to truly feel at home.
To complement this environment, Casa Serena offers a hair and beauty salon, a cinema room, relaxation spaces, and accessible landscaped gardens to stroll through. This space has been designed to combine functionality and wellbeing so that daily life is as pleasant as possible.

Our commitment
Comprehensive care
Our qualified professionals support you every day with a holistic, personalised approach to preserve your autonomy and wellbeing. A coordinating physician (0.5 FTE), a psychologist (0.5 FTE), a coordinating nurse, 5 nurses, 12 day care assistants and 4 night care assistants make up our multidisciplinary team committed to residents.
Residents also benefit from tailored assistance with everyday tasks, along with caring support to preserve their autonomy and quality of life. The establishment offers services and amenities dedicated to comfort, such as a hair and beauty salon, relaxation areas, and regular activities and events.
